FROM SCRATCH #001: MEKA

FROM SCRATCH is a community series of open production sessions. A producer opens an empty project and takes a track as far as they can, live, in front of whoever shows up. There's no plan or presentation, and nothing gets hidden. Stop the artist anytime to ask what they just did, why, or how.

Vol. #001: MEKA
MEKA starts the series with a hard trance track in Ableton Live 12, from 4 to 10 PM. Come by anytime in between and stay as long as you want. Ask anything, make suggestions, bring a laptop, meet other producers.

Free devices for everyone who RSVPs
RSVP and you'll get the download link for three Max for Live devices MEKA built, the same ones you'll see in use at the session:

• FS PUMP: a volume shaper. Draw the duck right on the device, then sync it to the beat or let your kick trigger it.
• FS CLIP: an oversampled clipper with long faders, so you can see exactly which peaks get cut. Now with a new FOLD shape.
• FS EQ: an air EQ with five broad bands and an air shelf up to 40 kHz.

FROM SCRATCH es una serie comunitaria de sesiones de producción abiertas. Un productor abre un proyecto en blanco y lleva un tema lo más lejos que pueda, en vivo, frente a quien llegue. No hay plan ni presentación, y no se esconde nada. Pueden interrumpir al artista en cualquier momento para preguntar qué hizo, por qué o cómo.

Dispositivos gratis para todos los que confirmen
Confirmen su asistencia y les llega el enlace para descargar tres dispositivos de Max for Live que hizo MEKA, los mismos que van a ver en uso durante la sesión:

• FS PUMP: un modelador de volumen. Dibujen la curva en el mismo dispositivo y sincronícenla al tempo, o dejen que el kick la dispare.
• FS CLIP: un clipper con sobremuestreo y faders largos, para ver exactamente qué picos se recortan. Ahora con la nueva forma FOLD.
• FS EQ: un ecualizador de aire con cinco bandas amplias y un shelf de aire hasta 40 kHz.
